Do I need Form L if my tanks are underground only?

Yes. Form L covers bulk storage in tanks - whether above-ground, underground, or both. Underground tanks have specific additional requirements: corrosion-resistant materials, leak detection systems, and inert backfill. We design and document underground tank installations to full Explosives Department specification.

Can I have both Form L and Form M at the same premises?

Yes. Many large facilities hold both - Form L for their bulk fuel/chemical tanks and Form M for additional drum/package storage in a godown on the same premises. We file both together when applicable.

How is Form L different from Form K (petrol pumps)?

Form K is specifically for petrol pump retail outlets - petrol, diesel, and lube oil sold to the public. Form L is for bulk storage at non-retail facilities - depots, factories, power plants. A petrol pump owner with additional storage may need both Form K and Form L.
